Gavin is a qualified European and Chartered Geologist with an Honours BSc degree in Geology/Petroleum Geology from Aberdeen University with over 20 years experience in the mineral exploration sector.  Starting out as a geological consultant with 'Aurum Exploration Services' he then joined 'Dalradian Gold Ltd' in 2011 as Operations Manager assisting in the development of the Curraghinalt Gold Deposit from 1.1M/oz to 2.7M/oz.  In 2013 he became Managing Director of GreenOre Gold Plc focused on developing mineral prospects in Scotland.  In 2017 he was appointed Technical Director of AIM listed Connemara Mining Company Plc who held numerous prospecting licences in the Republic of Ireland.  In 2020 he co-founded Planetary AI Limited, a company specialising in utilising artificial intelligence for prospectivity analysis.  In 2022 he co-founded Hebridean New Metals Limited, a company exploring for rare and critical metals.  Gavin is a fellow of the Geological Society, a member of the European Geosciences Union and a member of the Irish Association for Economic Geology.
